We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Fresno, CA.

      • Job Summary:

      The RN will provide direct patient care in the surgical setting, focusing on psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. Responsibilities include assisting surgeons during procedures, maintaining surgical equipment, and participating in performance improvement activities. The ideal candidate will ensure the operating room is well-equipped, assist with patient positioning, and monitor patient conditions during procedures.

      Salary Range: $42 - $56 per hour (Experience dependent)

      Required Skills:

      • Effective communication with surgical team members
      • Thorough knowledge of surgical services
      • Ability to maintain positive working relationships
      • Prioritization skills with attention to detail
      • Exceptional customer service
      • Proficiency in hospital information technology

        • Required Licenses/Certifications:

        • Active California Registered Nursing License
        • ACLS and BLS certification

          • Essential Functions Include:

          • Ensuring all preoperative checklists are completed
          • Accurately handling specimens
          • Monitoring patient status and responding to changes
          • Providing age-appropriate care to patients
          • Communicating effectively with the surgical team
          • Following safety protocols for medication administration and aseptic techniques
          • Performing pre-procedure preparations and assisting during procedures
          • Conducting post-operative reports

            • Physical Demands:

            • This role requires close vision, lifting, pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, and manual dexterity

              • Work Environment:

              • Exposure to body fluids, fine dexterity tasks, and moderate noise levels
              • May involve exposure to fumes, radiation, and chemicals

                • Fresno Surgical Hospital adheres to all vaccination mandates. If employment is offered, proof of vaccination or an approved exemption will be required prior to the start date.
