    Job Summary

    A Tax Senior Associate at Forvis Mazars works closely with others to plan for the future and help successful companies avoid surprises, coordinate tax strategies, and grow. They provide authentic support to teammates and clients, communicating regularly to understand their businesses and industries.

    How You Will Contribute:
    • Provide tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to pass-through and C-corporation entities, focusing on manufacturing, distribution, construction, real estate, professional services, technology, and financial institutions.
    • Assist in supervising, developing, and coaching professional tax staff.
    • Help develop and manage client relationships.
    • Offer timely and exceptional client service, exceeding expectations.
    • Represent Forvis Mazars in the marketplace at networking events.
    • Participate in proposal processes for potential new clients.
    • Participate in campus recruiting initiatives and programs.
    • Contribute to technical guidance for internal and external publications and internal learning and development sessions.
    • Work with your team to assign projects and resolve scheduling conflicts.

    We Are Looking For People Who Have:
    • Relevant progressive experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting experience.
    • A strong sense of ownership for delivering high-quality service to clients and experience servicing multiple client engagements.
    • Excellent supervisory, team-building, and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • A solution-finding attitude.
    • Willingness to take initiative.
    • Precise attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure and against target dates.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • 2-5 years of experience working with 990 forms.
    • A minimum of 2 years of relevant progressive tax experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting experience.
    • CPA license or have secured educational requirements to satisfy the 150-credit hour requirement necessary to obtain a CPA license.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Law degree, or related field.
