Program: Infant and Toddler Program

Description:
This is an early intervention position focused on working with families to assist them in facilitating their child's early development. While it does not involve providing direct occupational therapy (OT) services to children, it entails collaborating with families to support their child's growth and development.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with families to identify their child's developmental needs and priorities.
Provide guidance and resources to families to promote their child's motor, sensory, and cognitive development.
Conduct assessments and screenings to evaluate children's developmental progress.
Develop individualized family service plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and other team members.
Assist families in implementing strategies and activities to support their child's development within their daily routines and activities.
Coordinate with other early intervention professionals, including speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and educators, to provide comprehensive support to families.
Provide training and support to families on topics related to child development, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided and children's progress.

Requirements:

Certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Maryland.
Experience or training in early intervention and working with infants and toddlers and their families preferred.
