Caregiver / Personal Care Aide (PCA) - PRN - Woodbury - Artis Senior Living

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver / PCA to provide daily living assistance for residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia at Artis Senior Living. This role requires a strong ability to respond to emergency calls, document care provided, and transport residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, bathing/showering, eating, etc.
• Perform personal and household chores, such as tidying up rooms, errands, delivering mail and/or newspapers.
• Transport residents within the community to meals, enrichment activities, and other programs as needed.
• Evaluate and follow resident care plans consistently.
• Maintain awareness of resident behavioral changes and communicate any concerns to clinical staff immediately.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident/visitor requests, and correct environment hazards in a timely and safe manner.
• Adhere to community policies and procedures regarding resident and team member safety, attendance, timeliness, house rules, teamwork, and resident service.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Ensure Infection Prevention, OSHA, fire, and safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possesses Caregiver, CNA, or Home Health Aide certification (preferred but not required).
• Completes and maintains continuing education credits as required by state.
• Obtains and maintains current First Aid/CPR certification.
