    Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., a National non-profit, is seeking a Part Time Advocate in our Chatham County Program. As an Advocate, you will play a crucial role in advocating for the needs and interests of youth in our community. You will have the opportunity to support and empower youth to make positive changes in their lives and provide them with the resources they need to succeed. You will collaborate with other community organizations and agencies to develop and implement services that address the specific needs of our youth populations. You will provide individualized support and mentoring to youth and their families.

    Status: Part-Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

    Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Chatham County are available.

  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings.
  • The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
  • This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement.
  • Pay: $17.00 per hour

    Qualifications/Requirements: A minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.

    Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.

    Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage.

    Spanish speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
