    Description

    Inpatient Psychiatrist New Hampshire Hospital - Concord, NHDartmouth Health's Department of Psychiatry, in a unique collaboration with the State of New Hampshire, seeks a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist.

    This position will be based primarily at New Hampshire Hospital, our affiliated state psychiatric facility, located in Concord, NH.

    In this role, you will provide inpatient psychiatric care for patients with mood disorders, substance abuse disorders, interdependent medical and psychiatric conditions, and primary mental illness.

    You will work in collaboration with various interdisciplinary medicine teams within a continuum of community-based care.

    In addition, you will have the opportunity to become involved in research, including services research focused on development of innovative models for delivery of mental health care.

    The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and enthusiastic teacher, with strong interest and experience in Adult Psychiatry. Candidates should be board certified (or eligible) in Psychiatry. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.

    We provide acute, inpatient psychiatric services for adults and the elderly who need active treatment and other essential supports within a continuum of community-based care.

    Half of hospital patients are discharged within ten days. Approximately 600 staff includes board certified psychiatrists, general medical services, specialized nursing, allied clinical, administrative and support personnel.
