Job description
The Project FocusThe scope is strictly limited to exterior visualization, including:
Site Context:
Topography, perimeter fencing, roadways, and landscaping.
Building Envelope:
Metal cladding, structural steel, glazing, and industrial dock doors.
Atmospherics:
Accurate sun studies, outdoor lighting (day/dusk), and realistic environmental elements (sky, weather, grit).
Required Software Proficiency
We operate within a specific technical pipeline.
Candidates must be expert-level users of the following:
Revit &
CAD:
To import and interpret architectural shells and site plans.
SketchUp:
For rapid exterior massing and secondary structural elements.
3ds Max: As the primary environment for scene assembly and high-poly detailing.
V-Ray:
For advanced exterior lighting, global illumination, and industrial material shaders.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Translation:
Convert Revit/CAD exterior elevations into high-detail 3ds Max models.
Environment Design:
Build out the "world" around the facility, including parking lots, utility infrastructure, and realistic foliage/terrain.
V-Ray Lighting:
Master "Golden Hour" and high-noon lighting scenarios to highlight the textures of industrial materials.
Material Accuracy:
Develop shaders for weathered concrete, corrugated metal, asphalt, and safety-rated glass.
Post-Processing:
Use Photoshop to add final "life" to images (people for scale, vehicle movement, and color grading).
Qualifications
Portfolio Requirement:
A strong portfolio showcasing exterior industrial or commercial architecture. We want to see how you handle large-scale volumes and outdoor lighting.
Scale Mastery:
An understanding of industrial scale—ensuring that a 100,000+ sq. ft. building looks massive, not like a toy model.
Technical Integration:
Ability to move assets seamlessly between SketchUp/Revit and 3ds Max without geometry errors.
