The Alternate Facility Security Officer (FSO) is a Part Time position requiring approximately 20 hours per month. Work schedule will vary based on contract needs. Position will require the selected candidate to work on-site several times a month.

Responsibilities

Assist Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing all aspects of facility and personnel security program.
Assist with administration of Insider Threat Program.
Initiate, track, and maintain personnel security clearances and accesses through government systems.
Provide travel safety information and report foreign travel through government systems.
Conduct security briefings and debriefings for employees as required.
Maintain accurate records of personnel clearances and access levels.
Coordinate with government agencies, contract security teams and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Stay current on changes to industry security regulations.
Assist in providing guidance and training to staff on security clearance procedures and best practices.
Manage security related correspondence with employees.
Track and maintain employee initial and annual security training records.

This position can be filled at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and experience accepted.
Minimum of 2 years working in industrial security
Familiarity with government regulations related to facility and personnel security clearances (e.g., NISPOM).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Must currently hold and be able to maintain TS Security clearance.

Must have experience with the following systems:

Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
National Industrial Security System (NISS)
Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT)
National Background Investigation Services (NBIS)
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive)
