- Job Summary
- Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician & supervisor. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments & maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
- Job Requirements Education Required: Graduate of accredited practical nursing program OR Graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship Experience No Prior Experience Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Self starter Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: License Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri OR Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP. Required: Obtain BLS within first 90 days of hire
