    Job Title:
    Avera Home Medical Equipment Technician

    About the Job:
    This role is responsible for delivering, setting up, and training patients, family members, and medical staff on medical equipment products and services to meet patient needs.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develops and maintains knowledge of current HME products and services.
    • Provides education to patients, caregivers, and referral sources on HME equipment and supplies.
    • Completes required documentation following equipment setup, delivery, or pickups in accordance with company policy and applicable governmental regulations.
    • Performs transactions including registering new customers, sales orders, transfers, cash sales, deposits, returns, notes, tasks, autopay, and work in progress.
    • Develops knowledge of reimbursement guidelines, obtains signatures, and documents information to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products, and services.
    • Conducts home visits to perform quality control checks on equipment and reviews use and safety factors with the customer.
    • Completes routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment following manufacturer requirements and company policy.
    • Cleans equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company infection control standards.
    Requirements:
    • High School or GED Equivalent
    • Valid Driver's License
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Less than 1 year of related training or experience
