Field Service Mechanic

This role is responsible for performing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on pumps.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleans, lubricates, and performs routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
Dismantles and reassembles pump equipment using hoists and hand tools as needed.
Operates and inspects rental and branch equipment to diagnose defects.
Overhauls and tests equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts.
Troubleshoots and rewires electrical systems.
Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
Performs light fabrication tasks.
Researches, orders, and maintains the inventory of parts for service and repairs.
Completes other related duties assigned by management.
Maintains proper records in compliance with Griffin standards.
Maintains a neat and organized work area.
Performs all tasks in a safe manner.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
Experience with diesel equipment, pumping equipment, and pipeline-specific equipment is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with service programs such as John Deere Service Advisor, CAT, and Cummins is preferred but not required.
The ability to work independently performing in-depth technical equipment service and maintenance.
A commitment to excellence and high standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to accurately take measurements, complete documentation, and reference proper standards.
Acute attention to detail and a positive attitude.
The ability to manage priorities, workflow, and multitask.
