- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management.
- Budgeting: Assist in the annual financial budgeting process.
- Work in Process Schedule: Manage and maintain the work in process (WIP) schedule, tracking project costs and revenue recognition. Work closely with branch and cost control managers to ensure accurate month-end reporting.
- Balance Sheet: Various account reconciliations.
- Fixed Assets: Oversee the tracking and management of fixed assets, including depreciation calculations and capitalization of assets.
- Lease Accounting: Maintain lease accounting records and ensure compliance with accounting standards related to leases.
- Debt/Financing: Manage debt obligations, including covenant compliance, interest payments, and debt reporting.
- Insurance: Assist with annual insurance renewals.
- Taxes: Assist with various tax reporting and submissions.
- Audit: Assist in the completion of the year-end financial statement audit.
- Prequalifications: Assist with the preparation of financial information for prequalification submissions to clients and state agencies.
- Joint Venture Accounting: Assist in the accounting for joint venture projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in construction accounting and/or public accounting.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including WIP accounting and revenue recognition.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles and the ability to ensure compliance with financial accounting rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
