    SAIC is seeking a Network Administrator to join our team based out of Norfolk, VA.

    The qualified candidate will be a part of a small, agile team that provides on-site FSET support. Embedded Support personnel are considered mission essential and deployable on any Combat Commands exercises or operations. The Team provides on-site C2 Family of Systems (FoS) technical support at the Combat Command garrison and deployed locations where the C2 System is fielded. Teams located at these sites shall support not only those specific geographical locations, but also all deployment sites within the Combat Command's Area of Responsibility (AOR) and other Combat Command as needed. Requirement for Operation and Maintenance support is typically 5 days a week for each C2 FoS fielded system. Work hours in excess of 40 hours per week per person may be required during contingency operations (deployments or exercises), an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations. Typical core hours are 0800 to 1700.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, VoIP telephones, VTC, and INE devices.
    • Configure, patch and apply DISA STIG to all Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services, to include switches routers, firewalls, etc.
    • Ensure all tactical enclave domains are performing at maximum capability.
    • Manage all network resources to avoid outages and downtime, including backups.
    • Serve as SME for deployment of tactical enclaves for exercises or contingency environments.
    • Full time operational deployment, setup and pack-up, and system operation and maintenance, to include preventative maintenance.
    • Create Request for Maintenance Assistance (RMA).

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    Bachelors and two (2) years' experience; Masters and zero (0) years' experience; four (4) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience with configuration and troubleshooting of routing, routing protocols, ACLs, firmware upgrades, DHCP.
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot networks, firewalls, and connectivity.
    • Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of VoIP. CUCM a plus.
    • 90 days from start to obtain a CCNA certification
    • Security+ certification

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with Network Encryption devices.
    • Experience with tactical SATCOM.
    • Experience with satellite and gateway access requests (SAR/GAR).

    Required Clearance:

    Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance will be required prior to first day of employment.

    Required Travel:

    Travel required up to 10% of the time.
