We are currently seeking a talented **Dieatry Aide** for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to Health Center residents for maintaining safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
Weekends, evenings and holidays are a must.
The successful candidate will be responsible to perform the following:
**Essential Job Duties:**
Prepares therapeutic desserts, soups and salads as required.
Takes resident orders either manually or via a ticketing system
Serves meals in the health center.
Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
Transports inventory to and from the health center when required.
Communicates effectively with supervisor(s) and other associates.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
Previous experience in nursing home and/or food service preferred.
Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
