    Opportunity:

    Registered Nurse - PCU

    Job Details:


    • 30-bed acute medical surgical unit with emphasis on rehabilitation services

    • Patient ratio of 1:6 for all shifts

    • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

    • First-time travelers accepted

    • BLS certification required

    • Navy blue scrubs required for RNs

    • EPIC charting system experience required

    • 12 hours of orientation provided

    • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract

    • Minimum 8 weekend shifts per 6-week period required

    • Holiday coverage required if holiday falls on scheduled days

    • No on-call requirements

    • Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required

    • Must hold both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license

    • Local candidates not accepted (must live at least 75 miles from facility)

    • Maximum 7 days request time off allowed

    • Skills required include acute rehab hospital experience, telemetry monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols, IV management, central line care, wound care, fall risk assessment, infection prevention, and isolation precautions

    • Experience with lift equipment and assistive devices required

    • Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with diagnoses including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson's disease

    This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed acute medical surgical unit specializing in rehabilitation services. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. The organization maintains modern equipment including lift devices and utilizes EPIC charting systems to ensure quality patient care and efficient documentation.
