We are looking for a creative and collaborative person who thrives in an agile development environment. This role manages a talented team of roboticists working on our Symbot mobile robot. Building, motivating, and coaching a diverse team of roboticists and software engineers.Managing multiple work streams with contributors both inside and outside the Perception team, taking responsibility for the timely execution and high-quality delivery of commitments.
Collaborating with other engineering teams on planning, design, and development for releases.Using your technical skills to contribute to architecture and design discussions as well as code development and code reviews on all managed work streams.
Managing the day-to-day activities of approximately 4 to 8 engineers.Manage both in house and outsourced software engineering teams.
10+ years of software development experience (design and implementation)
~ At least 3 years focused on leading or managing teams.
~ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
~ Knowledge of Python and C++ coding and design patterns, suitable for real time environments.
~ Strong background in at least two of the following areas: computer vision, machine learning, localization and mapping, and data science.
~ Solid experience with software process and version control tools.
~ must be comfortable explaining complex software systems and programming concepts.
