Operates heavy-duty trucks for the transportation of equipment construction materials or refuse Maintains safe efficient operation of solid waste collection and transport equipment vehiclesInspects trucks equipment prior to during operation performs minor maintenance cleans washes flat repairs brake inspections adjustments completes daily logs prepares reports irregularities malfunctions supervisor Transports refuses landfill operates scraper haul dirt cover refuse compactor grader maintain roads surrounding landfill Weighs commercial non-commercial vehicles using records activity Ensures proper care follows safety protocols use maintenance equipment supplies promotes continuous improvement workplace safety environmental practices maintains radio communication supervisors caretakers truck drivers Assists maintaining cleanliness facilities litter snow dirt removal Responds public inquiries courteous manner resolves questions complaints timely manner Performs duties directed assigned
