At Databricks, we are passionate about enabling data teams to solve the world's toughest problems — from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business. Founded by engineers — and customer obsessed — we leap at every opportunity to tackle technical challenges, from designing next-gen UI/UX for interfacing with data to scaling our services and infrastructure across millions of virtual machines. And we're only getting started.

More about the role and team:

You will be a Product Manager for Databrick SQL, a Intelligent Datawarehouse enabled by a new era in AI. You will focus on improving user experience, drive Serverless SQL adoption, and improve admin management experience so they can easily scale DB SQL at their organizations. Databricks SQL delivers class-leading performance and efficiency for ETL, Exploratory and BI workloads on top of the Lakehouse architecture, enabling the unification of AI and BI within a single, open data platform. Our disruptive approach to this market has resulted in exceptional growth; we recently publicly shared that we have reached $250M ARR. We believe simplifying our user experiences to adopt DB SQL at scale will be key to our next phase of growth, and you will be responsible for defining and delivering the product roadmap that ensures that our customers can easily leverage Databricks SQL for all their SQL workloads.

This role requires coordinating all product activities from vision to implementation, including engaging large enterprise customers to understand their needs, developing long-term product strategy, defining product roadmaps, working with engineering to build those products, and coordinating with various internal stakeholders (both pre- and post-launch) to ensure product success.

    The impact you will have:

    • Identify key partners for Databricks SQL and develop product integrations to create a seamless user experience for customers
    • Work closely with key partners along with our Technology Partners team to develop and execute on joint roadmaps
    • Taking new features you envision from ideation / exploration with customers to full launch and rollout, including marketing plan and field enablement.
    • Bring insights about our customers and the market at large to the engineering and leadership team by working closely with our customers and partners.
    • Build a large new business, in a competitive market, that delivers differentiated value to customers

    What we look for:

    • 5+ years of experience leading technically complex enterprise products
    • Product management experience on business intelligence tools, ETL platforms, DataWarehouses and/or databases
    • Fluency in SQL, Python nice-to-have too
    • Analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyze product usage)
    • Passion for designing products that simplify user experience of technically complex products
