    Job Overview

    The Operations Director manages the operations team and day-to-day operations of LAMB's building and property, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    • Oversee custodial, grounds, and maintenance operations for LAMB PCS
    • Manage the successful implementation of LAMB's contract with M&G Services, including coordination with M&G staff, day-to-day cleaning, preventive maintenance, repairs, etc.
    • Coordinate responses to address all building and campus-related maintenance and repair requests
    • Manage inventory and maintain inspection records of all building systems as needed for compliance (fire alarms, elevators, heating system, laboratory equipment, etc.)
    • Manage LAMB's lunch program and ensure compliance with all requirements of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
    • Regularly inspect the building and groups to ensure they are in keeping with the school's maintenance standards and life safety requirements
    • Coordinate logistics for all onsite activities and events, including setups, takedowns, and cleaning
    • Manage all outside vendors providing services to the physical plant
    • Ensure school-wide compliance with health and safety regulations and manage the school's emergency response protocols and preparation
    • Provide leadership, mentoring, supervision, and day-to-day guidance to Building Operations staff, Operations, and Administrative Assistants, and the Receptionist
    • Recommend and manage the facilities annual budget. Reviewing budget reports, managing and controlling expenditures and contracts, and identifying opportunities for cost savings/efficiencies to make the best use of school resources
    • Develop operating initiatives to enhance sustainability and energy conservation,
    • Collaborate with the executive team to understand the facilities work needed to support the school's mission and operations
    • Lead and implement LAMB's Transportation strategy
    • Coordinate and support LAMB's Health Suite
    • In charge of procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, and inventory management.
    • Oversees the smooth running of the front desk, including coverage, DC OneCard, and late arrivals, among other tasks
    • Ensure instructional materials, furniture, and equipment are properly stored and accessible when needed
    • With the IT Director, coordinate operational aspects of technology implementation (planning, procurement, and training)
    • Assist in responding to and resolving routine internal and external inquiries with parents, employees, and school organizations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of three years' work experience required; experience in a school or educational setting preferred
    • Proficiency in English and Spanish required; bilingual preferred
    • General knowledge of the principles and practices of operations administration; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees; effective oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish; excellent interpersonal skills
    • Proficient with Google Workspace or similar systems
    • Demonstrated good judgment; approachable and professional; solid problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; well organized; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • ​​Excellent customer service and organizational skills
    • Able to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to parent, staff, and student needs and information
    • Knowledge of financial and project modeling and cost analysis techniques

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Schedule: 12-month full-time position (8:00 am - 4:15 pm)

    Compensation

    Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $75,000-$100,000.
