    Job Description Perficient is looking for a forward-thinking, growth minded and customer-focused Managing Director (MD) to lead our fast-growing MN market. We are looking for a positive, self-driven, high-energy leader that understands how to motivate and lead a team to achieve excellence. The MD role at Perficient is a key senior leadership position. Reporting to the Area Vice President, the Managing Director has overall P&L responsibility as well as operational accountability for the sales and delivery functions mapped to the local business unit. This role will involve partnering with various internal functions such as talent acquisition, HR, marketing and executive leadership. The MD is ultimately responsible and accountable to grow the local business unit year over year and ensure Perficient is well positioned in the market to capitalize on opportunities for continued growth. Responsibilities Business Unit Leadership
    • Define, establish, implement, and execute the vision and business plan for organic growth and success of the Business Unit.
    • Build, mentor and manage the business unit's leadership team (MD direct reports).
    • Communicate appropriately across Perficient; to the Perficient-wide leadership team and executive management.
    • Build and leverage partnerships across Perficient to create opportunities for full-service client engagements.
    Practice Leadership
    • Work with the delivery leaders to ensure project success and revenue growth.
    • Develop and execute business goals and plans.
    • Lead organic growth across the Business Unit.
    • Understanding and exposure to the market dynamics
    Sales Leadership
    • Partner and help support business unit sales and alliances team.
    • Participate as appropriate in the pre-sales process.
    • Approve proposals and contracts prior to their submission to clients and prospects; review and approval of estimations, solution planning, pricing, margins, etc.
    • Create and execute key sales offerings to differentiate Perficient capabilities and provide unique positioning to increase Perficient win rates on pursuits.
    Partnerships and Alliances
    • Lead and manage alliance management team for practices / partnerships.
    • Define and execute alliance management (ALM) processes
    • Establish partnerships with vendors at appropriate levels.
    Client Relationships and Delivery Leadership
    • Develop and maintain key client relationships; participate as Perficient executive sponsor where and when appropriate.
    • Ensure participation in delivery assurance programs and excellence in delivery.
    • Lead the staffing process, working with operations / resource management teams to pro-actively build and manage a suitable staffing model.
    People/Team Management
    • Work with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure success in the following areas:
    • Support recruiting process with recruiting plan development, interviews, decisions and offers.
    • Support on-boarding, training and development colleagues.
    • Execute college hiring and boot camp trainings to organically scale delivery both onshore and in a partnered model with nearshore/offshore.
    • Support the career development and retention of our colleagues.
    • Instill positive culture and work environment.
    • Design and lead overall BU colleague communications.
    • Lead the business unit merit, promotion, talent and compensation planning function.
    Business Financials and Operations
    • Engage with AVP to complete quarterly and annual budgeting and planning.
    • Develop and execute quarterly plans to meet goals and performance metrics.
    • Maintain accurate forecasts and sales pipelines, account for variances.
    • Manage the overall P&L, develop pro-forma statements and manage costs appropriately.
    • Lead in overall decision making for business unit.
    Qualifications
    • Proven thought leader with 8+ years' experience in the solution consulting services space / professional services.
    • 2-3+ years' P&L experience managing a $25M Business with a focus on leading delivery or sales functions.
    • Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating and nurturing new or on-going business opportunities and supporting client presales, presentations and team management.
    • Strategic Agility: Sees ahead clearly and can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; can articulately paint credible pictures and vision for the business unit.
    • Financial & Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
    • Collaboration & Influence: Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners (including C-level) to navigate complex situations. Can effectively influence and present ideas that lead others to action.
    • Systems & Tools Expertise: Expert in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, with the aptitude to learn technical applications quickly and effectively.
    • Persuasive communicator who understands how to effectively balance various points of view, influence others, and find common ground that drives meaningful results.
    • Prior experience building and managing strong cross functional teams.
    • Bachelor's degree Computer Information Systems, Management, Marketing or other related discipline. MBA degree is a plus.
    • Must be open to travel (occasional).
    The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $175,00 to $238,700. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
