TRAVEL Register Nurse – Med/ Tele

Weekly Gross: $2,270.00

Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift: 12 HR Nights

Requirements:

• BLS,


• med/surg nursing experience minimum 2 years


• Experience or 'Must have' skills Post Cath experience and Chest Tube experience


• First time travelers are ok


• Are RN's required to titrate drips some

# Beds 38 private rooms

7 are IMC

31 are general

Ratios IMC 1:3/4

General 1:5-7

Common diagnosis / Types of patients Lots of Post Cath, Post CABG 1-2 days, Cardiac, Vascular, MedSurg overflow, CHF, COPD, Lots of Chest Tubes,

Common titratable &/or set rate drips Only Nitro to pain scale and Cardizem, Amiodarone to Heart Rate*** also have Heparin and Lasix

No titration to B/P

No Insulin

Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips? Telemetry techs are on this unit, Nurses need to have basic telemetry knowledge and be able to read strips.

Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Charge Nurse: 24/7 does take up to 3 patients

Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios Days: 1:10/12

Nights 1:12

RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) Possible Cpap, RT manages and is in house 24/7

Shifts & Scheduling 12hr shifts starting at 6:45

They can accommodate to do block scheduling

Weekend Requirement Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement Depends on the need, possible
