- Serve 20-28 hours each week with the student ministry.
- Be present with students on Sunday mornings (approximately 3 hours per week) and Wednesday evenings (approximately 3 hours per week).
- Be present in the office for supervision and reflection
- Accomplish assigned ministry, planning, or administrative tasks in the office (approximately 10 hours per week). Hours will be agreed to by the intern and the Student Pastor.
- Provide administrative support for the student ministry. Sample duties will likely include:
- Printing student curriculum
- Communicating with the volunteers leading Life Groups each week.
- Weekly setup for Overflow events
- Assisting in ministry plans
- Availability to attend student ministry events on days other than Wednesday and Sunday. Dates will be agreed upon by the intern and student pastor.
- Teaching life group.
- Leading Overflow activities
- Outreach initiatives to new students and their families.
- Assisting with pastoral care for students and families (such as visiting students in the hospital).
- Calendaring and planning student events.
- Developing new programs, policies, and initiatives to strengthen identified gaps in the student ministry.

Job DescriptionStudent Ministry Intern
Position Overview
The student ministry intern will work with the Student Pastor as part of the Next Generation Team to plan and lead the student ministry (6-12 grade). This is a paid internship with no benefits. The intern will serve for 9 weeks from May 15-July 30. The Student Ministry Intern position has an hourly rate of $15.
