- Possess one of the following: BA or Associates degree in early childhood development
- Infant/Toddler CDA
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Head Start Program Performance Standards, especially related to child development and its integration within the Carman Ainsworth Early Head Start Policies and procedures, and other relevant data entry systems utilized within the C-A EHS program.
- Responsible for lesson planning, environment, data collection and record keeping associated with the highest quality development/educational programming for infants/toddlers in the classroom.
- Responsible for the effective involvement of teaching team partners within planning, provision, coordination, data collection and record keeping associated with implementation of the high-quality early childhood programming.
- Working knowledge of Child-Plus, COR-advantage High-Scope curriculum.
- Continually update knowledge and skills related to best practice in Early childhood education High-Scope, child development.
- Maintain responsibility for communication and involvement with the C-A EHS coordinating staff to ensure the most effective planning and coordination across programming.
- Inventory classroom supplies and request appropriate materials as needed.
- Complete all program related information and work in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring and assessment of the C-A EHS program and provide input into planning for continuous improvement.
- Ensure highest quality communication and positive interactions with all individuals and groups, especially as related to initial relationship building on behalf of the program.
- Maintain a continuing updating of knowledge and experience related to best practices of program service and operational systems.
- Attend all staff meetings, round-table meetings, trainings and other scheduled program activities relevant to program operations.

Job Purpose and Focus
Responsible for providing the overall direction for the development/educational program for the child enrollees in the classroom. Responsible for ensuring that the development/educational program integrates all required service areas in accordance with the federal program performance standards and state guidelines as well as infant/toddler High-Scope curriculum along with Parents as Teachers curriculum.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
This position is through a contract company Genesee Educational Consultant Services. The rate of pay is $20.00 per hour, weekly hours range from This is a Grant funded position for 48 weeks per year.
Work Environment
This position is based at The Learning Community Early Childhood Center. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments without direct supervision. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
Evaluation/Performance Measurements
Annual evaluation based on: vision, focus on learning and teaching, relationships/collaboration/empowerment, systems and procedures. Criteria for performance include but are not limited to:
