    Job Overview

    As a Mail Carrier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to our customers. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle physical demands associated with the job. You will be responsible for navigating designated routes, managing deliveries, and maintaining a positive relationship with customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes.
    • Load and unload items from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
    • Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
    • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from recipients.
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
    • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
    • Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary.
    • Navigate routes efficiently using maps or GPS systems to optimize delivery times.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable.
    • Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
    • Valid commercial driving license preferred; experience driving box trucks is beneficial.
    • Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving practices.
    • Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform manual labor tasks consistently throughout the day.
    • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
    • Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles as required by the role.
