    Position Purpose:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/ HR Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the human resources and payroll functions within the organization. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and excellent communication skills.


    Responsibilities:

    Payroll:

    • Collect and verify timekeeping information.
    • Calculate and process payroll accurately and on time.
    • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Collect and deposit checks into Bank.

    Human Resource:

    • Maintain and update employee records
    • Manage electronic personnel files/ scanning in forms
    • Initiate and save required trainings to personnel file
    • Updates Job descriptions as needed
    • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
    • QA/QC Health Benefits Billing
    • Ensure all necessary documents/ PAFS are completed, collected, and filed appropriately.
    • Helps with recruitment phone screens.
    • Help updating Internal User/SharePoint

    Required Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in HR and payroll functions.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in HR or related field is a plus.
    • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient in using payroll software.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
    • Self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.

    Other Desired Qualifications/Competencies:

    • Understanding of Vantage Point and/or information management systems
    • Ability to function through ambiguity, frequently changing priorities, and varied workflow.
    • Experience supporting multiple departments in a fast paced, growing firm.
    • Familiarity or general understanding of the AEC industry
