- 4 - 6+ month assignment in an acute care hospital environment
- Reports to Quality Management Director
- Aligns program with strategic plan, quality commitment, and institutional values
- Ensures compliance with hospital policies/procedures and relevant laws and standards (TJC, Title 22, CMS)
- Develops policies, conducts routine reporting, performs surveillance, prevention, and risk mitigation activities
- Stays updated on changing regulations and actively participates during regulatory inspections
- Responsibilities include accountability for the management of assigned areas of responsibility, including policy development, routine reporting and group facilitation
- RN license (any state)
- Active CPHQ certification desired
- Previous experience in clinical performance improvement or health informatics preferred
- Experience with Epic, Press Ganey's HRP patient safety event reporting platform, Vizient Clinical Database (CDB) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well with people to facilitate clinical performance improvement
- Familiarity with statistical process control techniques preferred
- Knowledge of Title 22, Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, and other regulatory requirements
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
- Available to travel to the client site and work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
