    Job Opening: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    Location: Homestead, PA
    Hours: Full-time, 7:30am - 2:45pm
    Duration: ASAP - May 29, with potential for renewal
    Caseload: 1:1 with 1st grade student
    Special Requirements: Trach & G-tube care, experience with complex medical needs

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide specialized medical support to a 1st grade student with complex medical needs in Homestead, PA. This is a full-time position with a focus on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the student throughout the school day.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide 1:1 medical care and support to a 1st grade student with complex medical needs, including trach and G-tube care.
    • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
    • Monitor the student's health status and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
    • Collaborate with school staff, healthcare professionals, and the student's family to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan.
    • Ensure the student's medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and functioning.
    • Document all medical interventions, observations, and communications in accordance with school and healthcare policies.
    • Provide training and support to school staff members regarding the student's medical needs and care protocols.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
    • Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in a school or home healthcare setting.
    • Proficiency in trach and G-tube care, including suctioning, feeding, and monitoring.
    • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
    • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
    • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
    • Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with school health and safety policies.
