Essential Functions
Develops diverse, flavorful, and nutritious menus with fresh ingredients and from-scratch recipes for assigned meals and special occasions
Coordinates with the Dietician for menu approval
Prepares approved menus, provides artful plating and service
Manages within a budget while maintaining, replacing, or adding equipment to expedite service
Maintains working relationships with vendors and provides organized and timely orders
Ensures the kitchen and dining room meet regulatory requirements. Promptly addresses compliance issues.
Minimizes food and environmental waste and improves operational flow
Supervises a team of foodservice employees
Works with leadership to facilitate timely work orders when repairs are needed. Coordinates with repair technicians on repairs/timetables for completion and maintenance schedules.
**Education**
Culinary Arts degree or equivalent experience
**Experience**
Five years of foodservice experience
One of supervisory experience
**Licenses/Certifications**
Current ServSafe Manager Certificate and/or Food Safety Manager Certification
