For Term: Through 6/30/2025, with possible extension, based on excellence in work provided, need and budget availability.
Description: Provides daily operations support and maintenance for server and storage systems, verifies, and maintains backup systems to provide efficient disaster recovery, and day-to-day folder and file restores. Skilled in the maintenance and administration of virtual servers in a VMWare and HyperV environment. Proactively monitors and keeps server systems updated and free from vulnerabilities. Maintains Qualys vulnerability scanning and works with the enterprise security team to mitigate vulnerabilities. Configures and supports District Group Policies to meet Department standards. Ability to design and implement server/storage systems to ensure a high level of systems integrity. Capable of working at Enterprise administrator-level design and administration. Travel required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participate in team projects, meetings, and assignments.
· Skilled in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for server systems of moderate complexity.
· Skilled at identifying needs for various software systems running in a virtual environment.
· Must have the ability to perform capacity and resource planning, assessing risks, and contingency planning.
· Responsible for documenting solutions to Technology issues and processes.
· Responsible for creating/tracking Property Management Reports (PMRs) for IT equipment transfers/relocation.
· Must be able to research, plan, and implement software service rollouts to users.
· Responsible for Microsoft Active Directory Services in a Windows server environment. Must be experienced in managing users, groups, OUs, objects, GPO, site services, and Trust relationships in a multi-domain environment.
· Responsible for configuring and managing DNS, DHCP, DFS, Certificates, and DC Replication.
· Must have experience with scripting in Visual Basic and PowerShell in an Active Directory environment.
· Responsible for securing a Microsoft Active Directory Windows 2016 – 2022 environment.
· Should have experience complying with the Payment Card Industry, PCI, and technology standards.
· Responsible for reading and following the Department's Procedures and Policies
· Responsible for understanding and enforcing the Department's Policies and Procedures
· Responsible for documenting solutions to Technology issues
· Responsible for traveling to remote sites to resolve IT-related issues and to deploy resources.
· Responsible for tracking incidents in the service desk ticketing systems
· Responsible for creating/tracking Property Management Reports (PMRs) for IT equipment transfers/relocation.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
