    As Metro PT continues to grow, we're adding full time Accounting Manager to our small, but mighty finance team If you're a self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where you'll have the opportunity to make an impact on a fast-growing healthcare company, we want to hear from you

    Essential Functions:

    • Assist CFO in managing all operations in the accounting department, including cash management, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers, revenue recognition and fixed asset accounting.
    • Coordinate with CFO and Regional Directors in preparing and monitoring budgetary and financial forecasts.
    • Prepare and publish monthly consolidated financial statements targeting a 10-day close cycle.
    • Prepare and publish monthly location P&L's.
    • Manage all new clinic lease agreements to ensure all rent is paid timely and updated.
    • Coordinate with Directors on ways to cut costs, provide financial literacy and assist in defining KPI's.
    • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
    • Develop a Financial Accounting and Reporting Policies Procedures Manual.
    • Continually update accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls and deploy best practices.
    • Manage and comply with reporting requirements and tax filings for local, state and federal government.
    • Identify financial trends and perform comparative analysis to make recommendations.
    • Ensure timely payment processing and provide analysis regarding past-due accounts.
    • Ensure timely bank reconciliation process.
    • Manage lease obligations and respective rent schedules, tenant improvement allowances and rent escalations.
    • Manage fixed asset/intangible schedule to ensure proper amortization/depreciation.
    • Manage and evaluate debt obligations and compliance with respective covenants.
    • Coordinate with Revenue Manager to ensure timely collection of receivables.
    • Assist CFO and Revenue Manager in implementing a monthly reconciliation process between financial platform and EMR system.
    • Coordinate regulatory reporting if applicable.
    • Coordinate with all Metro financial relationships and perform vendor management (i.e., banks, external accountant, etc..) to negotiate best competitive rates and service offerings.
    Requirements:
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting/corporate finance
    • CPA
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • Public accounting experience
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP
    • Knowledge of Quickbooks
    • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables
    • Strong aptitude to understand accounting systems and how to extract and reconcile information
    • Able to work in a dynamic, fluid, fast-paced environment

    Not required, but a plus:

    • Master's in accounting
    • EMR system experience
    • Healthcare industry experience
