- Assist with implementation of new thread rolling machine:
- Evaluate tooling dies on hand and dies needed for product.
- Assist with layout for product flow and machine placement.
- Help with documenting work instructions.
- Assist with Screw Polishing:
- Document and track production stages as we move from Black Oxide coating to polished and oiled.
- Document best practice for storage of polished products.
- Assist in evaluation of removal of old equipment and tooling.
- Other possible exposure:
- Induction heat treat process and documentation (set-up and run recipes).
- ERP system reviews and router edits.
- General manufacturing involvement with Turning, Milling, and Grinding.
- Tooling and tooling life.
- Set-up and production run procedures.
- Geometry and part challenges.
- Tool holding and part fixturing.
- In process prints print generation and changes (Solidworks).
- Manufacturing cycle time studies.
