POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive care for all patients.
Provide relevant patient education, both written and verbal, including guidance during the initial pregnancy visit, post-operative, and post-partum.
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate appointments for ancillary services and specialty referrals.
Handle patient emergencies within the RN license scope.
Screen, triage, and respond to patient inquiries by telephone, EMR messages, or walk-ins; approve same-day visits when necessary; aid in referrals to specialists; manage patient education; oversee medical assistants as required.
Support physicians in procedures requiring nursing assistance; administer immunizations and allergy shots; handle prescription medication requests; process lab results; maintain charts; contact patients with results as directed.
Assist in equipment checks; assist in quality assurance charting; ensure accurate billing codes; perform other office duties as needed.
Assist in patient rooming to maintain flow.
Provide staff training as directed by the Practice Manager.
Answer staff queries within practice scope.
Perform other assigned duties.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

RN/BSN from an accredited nursing school required.
Current BLS certification.
Preferably three years' experience in an ambulatory setting.
EMR experience necessary; familiarity with Athena a bonus.
Massachusetts RN licensure.
