    The Child Nutrition Program Specialist works on a team of people responsible for the development, oversight, and implementation of all child nutrition programs including Child and Adult Care Food Programs (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Programs (SFSP) at CitySquare.

    The primary responsibility is to coordinate the Mobile Meals program operation, including AmeriCorps member recruitment, training, and overall supervision.

    Duties included with the implementation of the SFSP Mobile Meals program includes managing the daily partner site program operation by supervising and monitoring partner sites, completing and maintaining program documentation, and minimizing program waste by managing the online reporting/food distribution system.

    Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Program Manager and in close collaboration with CitySquare AmeriCorps department they will help ensure CitySquare complies with all government and other contracts and continues to be good stewards of funds designated to the programs.


    Education:
    Minimum 2 years of college, bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience:
    One (1) year experience in an office setting or nonprofit sector

    Additional Requirements:
    Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

    Be willing to work a flexible schedule as generally there are two hours of work performed (from home) either late evening or early morning.

    • Effectively recruit, train, supervise and evaluate all AmeriCorps members within the Mobile Meals program. Work collaboratively with CitySquare AmeriCorps to ensure the Mobile Meals program is managed effectively, efficiently and in compliance with AmeriCorps regulations.
    • Coordinate all daily operations of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) effectively, efficiently and in compliance with Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.
    • Support AmeriCorps members and CitySquare's volunteer department to ensure meaningful volunteer service opportunities for community members within the Mobile Meals program.
    • Oversees meal tracking review and reporting requirements including manual reporting or Link2Feed online meal reporting/ordering system. Assists with month end reconciliation and TDA reimbursement process.
    • Oversees operational relationship and communication between CitySquare, feeding sites and food service management company including accurate and timely meal orders and deliveries with a focus on minimizing waste; facilitating all detailed site requirements to meet expectations; and handling any other food distribution logistics. Ensure any after business hours operational needs are met.
    • Conduct or supervise all required program site monitoring visits and related follow up in compliance with TDA regulations.
    • Ensures all child nutrition programs are conducting monitoring requirements efficiently, effectively and in compliance with TDA regulations.
    • Lead recruitment and retention of meal program sites.
    • Prepare training materials including scheduling and conducting training sessions for all AmeriCorps members.
    • Maintains all required program documentation in accordance with government regulations and contractual requirements.
    • Assist with all program files and databases to ensure timely and accurate data entry and report generation.
    • Maintain and model a high level of service quality at all times to ensure efficient and effective performance. Strive to develop and implement process improvements whenever possible.
    • Works as part of a team to ensure department goals are reached.

    SALARY RANGE :
    $43,000- $45,000
