Responsibilities:

• Facilitating smooth patient transitions during office visits
• Promoting a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following proper hand hygiene and using personal protective equipment. Ensuring patient needs are met in a safe, fair, and consistent manner with genuine care.

Qualifications:

• Acceptance into Crowder College Certified Medical Assistant program
• Possession of AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 30 days
• Completion of Clinic Competency Assessment annually by designated date
• Successful fulfillment of all coursework and on-the-job training hours as per the program requirements
• Current enrollment in Crowder College Medical Assistant course and maintaining good standing throughout the apprenticeship
• Evidence of passing the certification/registration exam as a Credentialed Medical Assistant upon program completion. Two additional attempts allowed within 100 days if initial exam is not passed
• Commitment to working full-time in a Medical Assistant, Clinic role for 2 years post-certification
• Submission of Crowder Financial Award Letter and FAFSA Application during hiring process
