    Job Title: Support General Clerk

    Summary:

    The Temporary Support General Clerk is responsible for handling incoming telephone calls and visitors, directing them to the appropriate staff member, and assisting with the receipt and distribution of mail.

    This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative roles and be familiar with office equipment and software.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Receive and direct incoming telephone calls and visitors
    • Assist with the receipt and distribution of mail
    • Perform data entry and typing tasks on a personal computer
    • Operate a variety of office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, and scanners
    • Communicate with court reporters and external customers to schedule hearings
    • Initiate inquiries regarding case processing and respond to appeal inquiries

    Requirements:

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • 4-6 years of experience in an administrative field or related legal assistant area
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (not required)
    • Basic knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the legal field
    • Certifications (if required)

    Work Schedule:

    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except Federal holidays.
