    GA Rogers & Associates has partnered with our downtown Dallas client to identify a dynamic Assistant Controller to join their growing team

    Reporting to the Controller, this role will be a collaborative team member who is able to work under deadlines and successfully support the financial aspects of our fast-paced business.

    In this role you will work closely with both the corporate team and the offshore accounting team to streamline monthly reporting & month-end close and SO MUCH MORE

    $140,000-$150,000 + bonus potential

    What you'll do...


    • Mentor an offshore accounting team, assisting with questions and coaching related to month-end close.
    • Prepare account reconciliations after month end close and as needed & prepare corresponding journal entries
    • Support the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are properly coded, approved timely, and posted to the general ledger, along with ensuring that vendors are supported when inquiries arise.
    • Manage accounts receivable and revenue collection functions, including preparing, distributing, and posting invoices, and following up on outstanding balances
    • Prepare and support tasks associated with AR: credit memos, collections, and cash applications
    • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including oversight of company-wide consolidation process
    • Support with the preparation of the annual financial statements in conjunction with the annual financial statement audit
    • Assist the work relating to both internal/external audits or reviews of the company's financial records
    • Facilitate internal management reporting and budgets as needed
    • Other duties as needed

    What we're looking for...


    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • 2-5 years of accounting work experience in public accounting
    • Solid understanding of US GAAP and 842/606 standards
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills
    • Previous experience in the telecom industry is preferred, but not required
    • Must be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail
    • You work well under pressure, can juggle lots of demands & deadlines and are an expert at prioritizing
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
    • Knowledge of D365 is preferred but not required
    Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $100, $150,000.00 Per Year
