    Description

    Intermediate District 287 is looking for qualified candidates for part-time Interpreter positions for our Itinerant Programs

    Our Interpreters are responsible for facilitating communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and others by interpreting in educational settings. This position will participate as a member of the educational team serving these students.

    Position Details:

    Part-time hours available
    Salary Range: $ $32.69 per hour DOE and E

    Requirements:

    Experience as an interpreter in a variety of situations involving the deaf/hard of hearing.
    Must have completed a training program affiliated with a state accredited educational institution and hold one of the following:
    An interpreter and/or transliterator certificate awarded by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID); OR
    A general level proficiency certificate at level 3 awarded by the National Association of the Deaf (NAD); OR
    Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) at the 4.0 level.
