    Description
    The Systems Administrator II role is crucial for maintaining and troubleshooting our systems, both on-premises and in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Server technologies, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms.

    You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our servers and endpoints, supporting escalations from our Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC), and managing backups across different environments.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


    • Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Server (2016 and later) and Microsoft 365 tenants.
    • Support servers and endpoints running Windows 10 and later, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Configure and manage Active Directory and support various Microsoft applications, including SharePoint, Teams, and email services.
    • Handle escalations from our NOC and SOC, providing timely and effective solutions.
    • Manage backup systems for both cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring data integrity and availability.
    • Knowledge of Linux systems is preferred, with the ability to support mixed-environment infrastructures.
    • Work with virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, and possibly Proxmox, to manage and optimize virtual environments.
    • Utilize PowerShell for the administration of multiple customer tenants, automating tasks and improving efficiency.
    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)


    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, with a strong background in Microsoft technologies.
    • Proficiency in supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, Teams, and related technologies.
    • Experience with backup solutions and strategies for both cloud and on-premise environments.
    • Familiarity with Linux is preferred.
    • Skilled in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox.
    • VMware and Microsoft certifications are highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administrative tasks.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
