    Description
    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the effective financial management of the company. They will collaborate with the MP/CEO and the senior leadership team to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy.


    As an integral part of the firm leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for coordinating all accounting operational functions, Banking and cash management, measuring and monitoring profitability, financial reporting and analysis, income tax compliance and reporting, and ensuring internal controls over the financial process.

    CFO is expected to serve as a key leadership team player in setting and monitoring goals for the firm.

    Essential Functions
    Oversee the company's fiscal activity, accounting, and related financial matters, including monthly reporting of results.

    Work collaboratively with leadership team to assess and model short-term and long-term growth plans, operational goals, departmental budgets and forecasts.

    Play key role in developing the companys corporate structure related to growth.
    Develop, maintain and ensure delivery against key performance indicators, business plans, financial models and budgets.
    Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and income tax compliance.
    Manage, monitor, and review the month end accounting process to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
    Monitor and review for accuracy the general ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements for all entities.
    Prepare the annual operating budget and performance metrics and meet monthly with leadership team to report on monthly variances.
    Work closely with Office Managing Partners, Service Line Leads, COO and affiliate leadership to limit budget variances.
    Prepare and present monthly financial statements.
    Manage accuracy and timeliness of the month end and year end processes.
    Determine accounting policies and procedures by researching and interpreting accounting guidance.
    Manage business relationships to optimize service and minimize the cost to the Firm.

    Finance Team Leadership
    Drive functional finance and accounting team to support business growth while capturing cost efficiencies and implementing cost management processes.
    Convey a strong organizational leadership presence that represents the Firm.
    Manage direct reports include accounting, bill pay, and payroll staff.
    HR responsibilities include employee annual reviews of direct reports.
    Implement inter-office/finance department communications.

    Compliance and Tax Strategy
    Monitor and ensure legal compliance with laws and regulations on all financial matters
    Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to leadership team.
    Coordinate tax planning and compliance with internal and external resources

    Continuous Improvement
    Lead, develop, and promote a culture of high performance and continuous learning among the Finance team members.
    Improve internal controls, accounting standards, enhance processes and reporting capabilities, including forecasting to ensure rapid growth and expansion.
    Identify financial risks and opportunities.
    Implement policies and procedures reflecting best practices utilizing AAM guidelines.
    Recommend policies and establish internal control procedures to safeguard the companys assets.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications
    8-10+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Operations, including 6+ years in a leadership role.
    Good GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
    Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business-related field
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required.
    Experience managing, developing, and guiding high-performing teams.
    Must have experience hiring, training, and retaining a team.
