    Description

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for assisting the Director of Programs and Services with grant oversight and reporting. They will also provide administrative support to the Programs and Services Department and their volunteers.

    This position is grant funded.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Respond to general program information calls that come directly to the office, check the daily Contact Center report and coordinate follow-up as needed. Respond to e-mails from constituents with services requests.
    • Assist Program Managers by promoting programs (entering information on flyer templates/utilizing Association templates), entering Support Groups and Education Programs into Personify and assisting with processing registrations (including adding constituents to Personify) for Community Education Programs, Support Groups and other Program events.
    • Utilizing Sign-in Sheets for Community Education Programs, Support Groups and other Program events, and assure attendee data is entered into Personify/ALZMat.
    • Assist the chapter with increasing reach and service delivery to unduplicated program constituents utilizing a variety of promotional strategies including mailings, emails (Luminate), and the Tatango platform.
    • Coordinate a system to collect and compile program data and enter into appropriate monthly reports for grant and administrative reporting purposes.
    • Work with the Office Administrator to develop and maintain a system for ordering and inventorying brochures and program materials and coordinating program activities for office volunteers.
    • Ensures timely and accurate reporting including ensuring data is entered into applicable software and systems (Personify, PVC, ALZMat etc.). This includes relevant and appropriate data for grant reporting, measuring progress toward strategic goals, and submitting monthly reports to the Director of Programs and Services.
    • Assist the Program Team by screening potential volunteers and communicating and registering staff/volunteers for community events.
    • Provides technical assistance and support to Program Team and volunteers to ensure volunteers annual requirements are obtained and entered into Personify.
    • Complete other administrative duties as requested by the Directors and/or Associate Directors of Programs and Services.
    • Model and foster behavior that contributes to a culture that values the staff/volunteer partnership and is consistent with the values, goals, and cultural beliefs of the Association.
    • Participate in, and assist with insuring the success of The Longest Day, Walk to End Alzheimer's and other Alzheimer's Association special events.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred (may be substituted with Associates Degree and relevant experience).
    • Minimum 2 years in health/human service related field.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Familiarity with Alzheimer's and related dementias, and/or aging and health issues.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to teach, train and/or speak in front of groups
    • Proficient in Windows and other software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Personify and Google Apps
    • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time and multiple priorities
    • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills
    • High level of integrity, diplomacy and an absolute commitment to confidentiality
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
    • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and to a lesser extent, nationally as needed, to perform job duties
    • Must possess a valid driver's license, good driving record, access to a reliable vehicle and proof of automobile insurance.
    • Ability to represent the Association effectively to community partners, community leaders, corporate partners.
    • Able to identify and cultivate relationships with community partners/organizations and diverse populations to create sense of urgency related to dementia awareness as a major health issue and motivate all to action
    • Proven experience in community service development and sustained program integration.
    • General knowledge of community-based organizations and systems.
