- Maintain case records, prepare reports, and review personnel files.
- Coordinate disciplinary hearings, research issues, and assist in compiling evidence.
- Organize trial assignments, handle arbitrator calendars, and manage trial preparation.
- Supervisory responsibilities over investigators and staff.
- Provide guidance on investigative techniques, analyze data, and establish workflow processes.
- Directly supervise investigators and administrative staff.
- Generate detailed reports, oversee grievance processes, and manage grievance databases.
- High school diploma with four years of relevant experience OR a bachelor's degree OR equivalent education and experience.
- Proficiency in computer systems, communication, writing, legal research, and Microsoft Office.

Position Summary: As a Legal Investigator, you'll be working under supervision but with the freedom to make decisions independently. Your main duties include supporting the unit head and staff attorneys in handling legal and labor issues related to employee misconduct, incompetence, and contractual grievances. You'll also be responsible for preparing documents and reports for administrative proceedings. Collaborating with different departments and officials to ensure legal services run smoothly is key in this role.

Direct Reports: Oversight for investigators and support staff in Level 2 and Level 3.
