    Job Description:

    The Automotive Shop Dispatcher at Moritz Kia - Ft. Worth is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining the overall efficiency and organization of the automotive shop.

    This individual will be the main point of contact between the service technicians and customers, ensuring that all repair and maintenance requests are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

    The Automotive Shop Dispatcher will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that all customer needs are met and that the shop runs smoothly.

    Responsibilities:


    • Receive and review work orders from service advisors, customers, or other sources.
    • Assess the scope of each repair job and determine the appropriate technician or team of technicians for the task.
    • Assign work orders to technicians based on their skills, experience, and availability, taking into account factors such as workload and deadlines.
    • Communicate job assignments, deadlines, and any special instructions to technicians clearly and accurately.
    • Monitor the progress of work orders throughout the day, ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
    • Coordinate with service advisors and parts department to ensure that necessary parts and materials are available for scheduled jobs.
    • Provide support and assistance to technicians as needed, including troubleshooting technical issues and answering questions about repair procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of work orders, technician assignments, and job statuses.
    • Assist in managing technician schedules, including breaks and lunch periods.
    • Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to work orders, providing excellent customer service.

    Requirements:


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Customer service experience, preferably in the automotive industry
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
    • Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance procedures
    • Proficiency in computer software systems, including Microsoft Office and service tracking software
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
