    Job Title: Director of Cybersecurity

    Location: New Haven, CT

    Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 + Bonus

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish a formal Cybersecurity Department within a reputable institution.
    • Lead incident response, threat/vulnerability assessments, endpoint security, risk management, compliance, disaster recovery, and team building initiatives.
    • Develop new Cybersecurity capabilities, ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's information systems and data assets.
    • Drive the design, planning, budgeting, monitoring, and integration of Cybersecurity initiatives across the organization.
    • Enhance cybersecurity capabilities, incident response processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Conduct audits, manage cybersecurity projects, oversee budgeting, coordinate vendor activities, and provide regular updates to the management and board of directors.

    Skills and Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in information security.
    • Preferably experience in Cybersecurity within the Financial Services sector.
    • Industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly valued.
    • Proficiency in incident response, threat analysis, endpoint security, risk management, compliance, and disaster recovery.
    • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and encryption.
    • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR.
    • Experience in cyber risk evaluation, and working with industry-standard frameworks for cybersecurity.
