    JOB SUMMARY: Reviews all creative materials and consumer facing communications prepared by the marketing and sales teams for compliance with state and federal advertising, marketing, digital media, and promotion laws, and third-party intellectual property licenses; reviews ticket, hotel and package offers; and provides and applies marketing guidelines to comply with FTC Act and other applicable laws and/or regulations. Provides legal guidance under supervision of the attorneys to discrete business units including, but not limited to, Resource Marketing, Popcorn, brand communications, UX/UI, Content and Innovation, Food & Beverage, Revenue Operations, Entertainment and other.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Reviews and revises creative materials for compliance with license agreements, and state and federal laws; implements and applies marketing principles based on FTC Act and federal and state marketing/advertising laws and regulations.
    • Assists attorneys in reviewing intellectual property usage for compliance with licenses, government regulations, and marketing guidelines, and maintains intellectual property records.
    • Assists attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and revising boilerplate production and promotions agreements and amendments, and drafting marketing services scopes.
    • Conducts legal research.
    • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION: Associate's degree is required – Paralegal Certificate (Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university acceptable in lieu of a Paralegal Certificate). Bachelor's degree is preferred – B.A. in Legal Studies or a related field.

    EXPERIENCE: 2+ years corporate legal or law firm experience required; 3+ years preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Must be able to work in a high-paced environment handling multiple tasks at the same time; and must maintain confidentiality of projects, legal and business information at all times.
