    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    R&D Maintenance/SiteMaster, Inc. is seeking candidates for a Site Superintendent for industrial maintenance construction projects. As a Superintendent you will be responsible for performing, planning, monitoring, supervising on-site construction activities, and is the onsite liaison with the Home Office, Project Managers and client regarding project progress and changes.

    As a 27-year-old company, we specialize in Communication Tower Maintenance and Repairs, Water Tower Maintenance and Repairs, Heavy Civil Lock and Dam Repairs, and Industrial Coatings for the Federal Government.

    The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, proactive, highly organized, a self-starter and has a strong background one or more of the following industrial disciplines or trades: Telecommunication Towers, Heavy Civil Lock & Dam, or Industrial Coatings

    SUPERINTENDENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Work closely with Project Managers and VP of Operations to facilitate construction and maintenance projects.
    • Oversee quality control and site safety (mitigate potential risk) for on-site construction and maintenance activities.
    • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and AHAs with subcontractors and vendors.
    • Maintain project schedules and prepare three-week look ahead schedules.
    • Develop a recovery schedule when required.
    • Coordinate with key subcontractors to best determine construction techniques and methods to complete a project.
    • Appropriately allocate manpower and resources to complete on-site construction and maintenance activities.
    • Manage all vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis, identifying and resolving problems as they arise.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both oral and in written communications.
    • Ability to read and interpret structural, mechanical, and civil drawings and specifications to determine the layout and requirements of the project.
    • Work with all team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Significant knowledge of industrial and construction safety procedures and regulations related to telecommunication towers and heavy civil activities.
    • Documented experience on industrial and remote location construction or maintenance projects.
    • 5+ year of experience in an on-site construction or maintenance leadership role.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
    • Requires high school diploma or GED.
    • Regular Travel required, up to 85% or the time.
    • OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
    • Valid driver's license required.
    • The Ability to pass a Federal Back Ground Check (In order to gain access to military and federal installations).
    • Experience in office productivity software including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, etc.
    • Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen and a federal background check.
    Preferred Certifications:
    • Certified Rigger, Tower Climber & Rescue Person Competent, HAZWOPER 40 Hour, AMPP CIP 1 or 2.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Frequent walking and standing.
    • Frequently lifts/carries up to 20 pounds with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
    • Dexterity and frequent use of hand tools.
    • Frequent balancing, kneeling, reaching (full range), bending, handling, feeling, climbing, smelling, twisting, crawling and reaching; working in cramped and confined spaces.
    • Vision, speech, smell and hearing sufficient to perform essential tasks.
    • Required to successfully complete background check, MVR, and drug/alcohol screenings.
