    Job Title: Medical Science Liaison, Neuromuscular - Greater Texas

    Location: Greater Texas territory includes TX, OK, AR

    As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) you will serve as an externally facing scientific partner that transforms medical practice and shapes the healthcare ecosystem using data-driven, AI-enabled engagement to healthcare organizations, healthcare providers, and clinical researchers. Sanofi's MSLs support product and disease-state work throughout the product life cycle, maximizing the impact of innovative medicines to improve patient lives. The role focuses on advancing neuromuscular care in the Greater Texas region, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the latest scientific insights reach those who need them.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Build engagement plans, in collaboration with field partners, to drive internal collaboration and generate field insights that inform strategic decisions.
    • Be the trusted scientific partner to external experts, decision-makers, and organizations through timely scientific engagement, enhancing understanding of the scientific and medical value of our products and pipeline.
    • Conduct quality scientific presentations to educate healthcare providers on disease state and treatment landscape; communicate benefits, risks, appropriate use, and clinical value of our products in a fair, accurate, and balanced manner.
    • Understand country medical priorities and incorporate medical plans aligned with business priorities.
    • Gather and share clinical insights to deepen understanding of patient, provider, and ecosystem needs.
    • Engage with clinical investigators to support Sanofi's pipeline and investigator-sponsored studies (within compliance standards) within territory.
    • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information related to supported products and disease states.

    Key Accountabilities


    The most important responsibilities of the job, with time allocation and how results are achieved. External Engagement accounts for 80%; Internal Collaboration for 5%; Administrative work for 15%.

    1. External Engagement (80%)
      • Use data-driven decision making with CRM data & insights to drive timely scientific engagement and enhance understanding of the medical value of our products and pipeline.
      • Demonstrate proficiency using the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM).
      • Engage key decision makers and external experts to prepare for upcoming launches.
      • Conduct quality scientific presentations to educate healthcare providers on disease state and treatment landscape; communicate benefits, risks, and clinical value.
      • Engage with scientific experts at medical conferences.
      • Gather and share clinical insights on patient, provider, and ecosystem needs.
      • Engage with clinical investigators to support Sanofi's pipeline and investigator-sponsored studies (within compliance standards).
      • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests related to Sanofi products and disease states.
      • Navigate the healthcare environments at regional and local levels.
    2. Internal Collaboration (5%)
      • Collaborate with cross-functional matrix teams (e.g., Commercial/Marketing, Market Access, Medical Value & Outcomes, Office Based Medical) on internal projects and territory plans.
      • Demonstrate medical solution-finding within the matrix team and actively participate in meetings.
      • Contribute to internal project teams and prioritize external activities.
      • Attend internal team meetings and manager 1:1 meetings.
    3. Administrative Work (15%)
      • Document field interactions and insights in CRM within 2 business days.
      • Monitor progress toward individual and team goals on a monthly basis.
      • Document knowledge surveys in CRM following each interaction with KOLs and High-Burden HCPs.
      • Create and maintain medical account plans in the appropriate tool.
      • Complete all company-assigned trainings and certifications.
      • Stay updated on emerging scientific and technological advances and regulatory requirements to inform decision-making.
      • Develop and maintain scientific engagement skills.
      • Create, execute and update an individual development plan.

    About You

    • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or medical field (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MD).
    • Prior experience in field medical roles or pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
    • Prior experience working with healthcare systems, payers, healthcare providers, and researchers (preferred).
    • Candidates must live within the territory or relocate at their own expense.
