Job summary
The Public Works Technician I assists with various public works activities and tasks as required.This includes performing maintenance and repairs on water/sewer mains, fire hydrants, water services, water meters, streets, drainage,
and infrastructure. Additionally the technician will clean and maintain assigned vehicles tools and equipment inspect
and check operation of vehicles tools and equipment before and after use report problems to supervisor perform minor
equipment maintenance as needed move various equipment tools to work trucks loading unloading execute safe effective methods in all field activities which includes following departmental city safety guidelines attending required training when necessary interact professionally respectfully with the public coworkers others daily work maintain integrity professionalism values goals city assuring rules regulations followed accountability preserved performs routine landscaping other duties assigned daily attendance overtime weekend holiday availability required obtain successful qualification progress Technician level II year.
