    Summary of Position: Directs the operations and processes of the business office to include procurement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and purchasing card functions.

    Essential Functions

    2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department.

    4. Management and Oversight of Business Office functions - Supporting Action/Task May Include:

    • Provides leadership to Purchasing and Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable staff
    • Act as final procurement authority in the awarding of purchasing agreements
    • Lead, monitor and inform college leaders and staff of changes in procurement laws and regulations
    • Provide oversight to the District's purchasing card program
    • Provide high-level analysis in various areas of District spending to identify cost-saving opportunities
    • Proactively develop and manage key vendor relationships
    • Collaborate with peers from other Wisconsin technical colleges in the use of cooperative purchasing agreements
    • Prepare all required procurement related reporting to the District Board
    • Oversee and manage Business Services operations and personnel
    • Work closely with Risk Manager for the district to review and approve contracts with external organizations
    • Maintain expense management system

    Qualifications


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Three years' experience in related field
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree
    Required Certification/Licenses:
    • Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred.

    This position reports to: Director of Finance

    Starting annual salary range based on education and experience: $61,350 - $80,554

    This position would include competitive salary, along with a wide variety of benefits available to full-time Western Technical College Employees.
