    • Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform evolution
    • Stay hands-on through design reviews, reference implementations, and technical spikes

    • Lead architecture for cloud-first solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
    • Design and govern data virtualization and data access patterns across heterogeneous systems
    • Enable real-time and near-real-time data integration without unnecessary data duplication
    • Ensure architectures support analytics, interoperability, and operational scalability
    • Promote secure, compliant, and cost-efficient cloud architectures

    Modular & Open Platform Design

    • Champion API-first, event-driven, and integration-ready architectures
    • Design products that are open to third-party integrations and ecosystem growth
    • Establish standards for service boundaries, contracts, and versioning
    • Enable product teams to innovate independently while remaining aligned to a shared platform vision

    Innovation & Out-of-the-Box Thinking

    • Challenge traditional approaches to healthcare product design
    • Identify opportunities to simplify complex workflows through architecture
    • Explore new architectural patterns, tools, and frameworks that accelerate product innovation
    • Translate emerging technologies into practical, production-ready solutions

    Architecture Leadership & Team Building

    • Establish architecture forums, guilds, and design review practices
    • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Security, and Infrastructure teams
    • Influence architectural decisions across multiple product teams without becoming a bottleneck

    • Ensure architectural designs meet security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
    • Define and enforce architectural standards while enabling flexibility
    • Promote high-quality documentation and decision traceability
    • Support audit readiness and operational resilience

    • 5+ years in a Director / Senior technical leadership role
    • Strong hands-on experience designing cloud-native enterprise products
    • Deep knowledge of data virtualization, integration, and distributed data access
    • Proven experience building modular, extensible, integration-ready platforms
    • Experience mentoring and leading architect communities or centers of excellence
    • Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Healthcare or other highly regulated industry experience
    • Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and API platforms
    • Familiarity with interoperability standards and ecosystem integrations
    • Experience influencing architecture across multiple agile product teams

    • Curious, innovative, and willing to challenge legacy thinking
    • Collaborative leader who teaches and elevates others
    • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex product ecosystems
    • Strong product mindset with architectural depth
