- Provide high-quality customer service in accordance with our Company's customer service standards and policies and procedures.
- Greet customers and provide friendly, courteous, and efficient customer checkout service.
- Learn and follow all applicable company policies and procedures regarding discounts, coupons, refunds, cash handling, employee purchase and all other transactions handled at the register.
- Operate electronic scanning cash register to total customers' final bill.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area including check stand area as well as straightening up end cap display areas near check stand.
- Maintain the restrooms clean
- Put products away when inventory arrives.
- Stock shelves and display cases with appropriate products as needed.
- Maintain storage room.
- Count and reconcile cash and coupons in cash register drawer at beginning and end of every shift.
- Other duties assigned
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- One year of experience in a high-volume retail/food store environment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
- Proven track record of accurate cashier transactions completed
- Both in outside weather conditions as well as in an office environment, including extreme heat and cold
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
- Lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
- Vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

SCOPE:
A Retail Cashier is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit, and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment. Their duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale.
